I know what I want to be! A full time Stay-at-home-Kayla. Hell yes, I do.
This Spring break has served me quite well, and I never want it to end. But instead, it's somehow already Thursday morning, and Spring Break is drawing to a close. Ewe.
I've been sleeping in, cleaning, reading, went out to lunch with a friend who finished her personal trainer certification with me back in November and I've worked every evening for just a few hours. Pretty perfect, and I'm very grateful. Today, it's time to get to work though. I have a speech (of which I haven't started) due the Tuesday after I get back to school and a math test the same day. Spring break marks the half way mark for this semester, so I'm almost there, and quite honestly hanging by a thread. It's not that I have a bad attitude about school, it's just that I'm not going to pretend that I enjoy wasting my time in a classroom learning..um, nothing. Okay, I guess I have a bad attitude. But I'm not going to lie about what's going on, and I'm not going to pretend that I wish to continue school. I also am not going to just poop out, though. I'm taking the summer off, and in the fall I'll try some online courses, and maybe part time so I can work a little more. Hopefully I can find something that works for me. I'm only 20- its okay, everyone!
Our pup is getting along well, with the exception of several peeing-pooping-puking-on-the-carpet-spells. Ugh. He really is doing well though. His problem is that he's usually home alone all day until one of us comes home from school or work. Donkey's a big fella, and he needs room to roam and play and sniff...and pee. I really hope that in the near future we can get out of this place and move into a tiny rental with a yard and, dare I say it? Space for a garden. Oh, a garden! But first, I'll focus on tackling Algebra and earning more than an $80 paycheck. Baby Steps.
Speaking of Baby Steps, we rented What About Bob? last weekend and hunkered down at a friend's (super awesome) beach condo with some hobo burgers and wine. If you've never seen this movie, watch it. There are few movies that I'd watch over and over, and this is definitely one of them. It's a classic.
By ten o'clock, the entire crew was passed out on the couch before the movie even ended. Lame, but we had a good time together. Other than that, not much has been going on around here. Apparently we have 'torrential rainstorms' up ahead for the weekend, so I suspect nothing exciting will go down yet again this weekend. No problem, though.
We surely miss everyone back home, please give the Rockies a big long look and maybe a smooch for me, and have a wonderful weekend, when it gets here!

I have never known you to pretend or lie about liking school, or anything else for that matter. You say it like it is whether we want to hear it or not. I love you and miss you. Study hard and get through this semester.
"I'm sailing! I'm a sailor! I'm saaaaiillling!" That movie is spectacular. Hang in there, girl. I bet you will excel at Internet schooling. You will find your niche, I'm sure of it. We can't wait to come see your new home!
