Blow to the Head

Yes, that's MY pumpkin, or my face, rather.  Now, take a look at Jody's pumpkin:
Huh.

What conclusions can you come to?

After some serious pondering and a wee bit of investigation, I did come up with a culprit.  I questioned  the crap out of this gangster until he was on his knees crying and begging for forgiveness.

Okay, that's not really how it happened.  But still, I want everyone to know that

Jody smashed my pumpkin.

But then I smashed his.

Happy Halloween!

Epic Fail

Well, Halloween festivity number one in the Powell home was...interesting.

Tuesday night we finally brought home two of the remaining measly pumpkins still left at the grocery store and we did some carvin'. Actually, Jody did some carving, I...don't know what I did.

Since I haven't taken any pictures of our home yet, this is our 'dining room'.  I really do mean to take some pictures and post them soon.  Let this be a reminder- to me.

 This is serious business.
And this is why it's serious business-anything Griz- is no joke.

Alright, mine.  I meant to carve out a leaf in the middle.  I meant to kick Jody's pumpkin's ass.  I meant for it to be fun.  Only it snapped half way through creating a massive hole in the middle and my only option was the turn it into my face.  Dang.  So I slapped a couple of ears off to the side and bam- instant Kayla!  Kinda resembles me, don't you think?

Back to Billings

I loaded up and ditched the hubby last Wednesday to head home to Billings for some Wedding and Family time- and my timing was quite perfect, if I do say so myself.  The weather's been fantastic, and it's absolutely beautiful here.

Last Thursday we began my good friend Marissa's wedding festivities with quite the interesting evening titled 'Batchelorette Party'.  Yikes!  There were tasty treats, delicious (maybe too delicious) drinks, innapropriate conversations, and tons and tons of laughter.
I passed on the Bride Cup that was given to me at my batchelorette party!
Sorry, that is a plastic you-know-what.  It was the only picture I had of us together, and brides will be brides.
Nearly the entire bridal party were ladies that I had worked with at City Brew, and I realized just how much I miss my old job and the awesome girls I met while working there.  I was very blessed to have met them.

Following the party Thursday night was a weekend full of tasty food, fun friends and family, and a beautiful wedding- concluding with a beautiful new couple.  Congratulations to Ben and Marissa Schreiner!

That is one happy looking groom!
