We did not name name Shadow.
Shadow. The name sucks, we know. But just so you know, we don't.
Ok, now that's taken care of, I'd like to take this opportunity to make fun of Jody. This is how I found him the other night when I came downstairs after a phone call with Casey. No- the beer and chew were not set up as props. There they sat, in a perfect little row of a not-so-beautiful-addiction. Why he's on the floor, I don't know, but I do know that he happens to be snuggling with the Griz blanket his Grandma gave him. He's cute.
Nothing too new happening around here, as usual. Just work and school, the yoush. Jody is going underway this week, so I'm hoping to stay busy and rush right through the last week of March and get right into April. The weather's gettin' me down, and I'm feeling very homesick lately. Or maybe not homesick, just...familiar- face-sick.
I made that up, duh.
I just want my family and friends here now, so I'm really looking forward to having my mom and sisters come up in a few weeks. If only I can just hold out until then. I can I can I can!
Since I've taken the opportunity in this post to embarrass Jody, let me redeem myself my expressing how good he is. I have to admit, the guy makes me laugh, even when I'm crying. Especially when I'm crying. Although it's incredibly annoying at first, he won't listen to me and just leave me alone to sit and wallow, instead, he's relentless, and he demands a quick recovery. Jody's taught me that a good cry should be immediately followed by a good laugh. He helps me to forget about my silly worries and to laugh it off. If I've learned anything from Jody, it's that life is just too darn short and silly to care the way that I do. I'm working on seeing the world from Jody's perspective, because I like his perspective.
He's seriously Da Man, man.

Yay, for Jody. Keep her laughing, Kayla is way more fun when she is laughing. Though, I don't think Jody is going to love that picture you just posted, so now it may be Kayla's turn to keep Jody laughing.
Should we be concerned about your drinking? Can't wait to come visit you, sister! We will suffocate you with "familiar face time"... so much so that you will be relieved to see us go! Love!
