Oh and by the way, I like your new blog post, but it's titled "Baby
Updates", and you're opening line is "I'm nearly a month late..."
Just sayin, boog.
I love you!
...With that said, I worded that post funny, I am not 'nearly a month late' and wouldn't dream of posting so via blog anyhow.
Also, yes, Jody refered to me as Booger.
Judge us.
So.
Now that
those issues have been addressed...
Not much going on here. I have nearly no incentive to write, as I don't really know what to talk about. I'm fairly busy, doing lots of babysitting, and very much loving my freedom of enjoying early mornings, yoga classes, and good friends and family. The days go by quickly, and I'm taking that as a good sign.
Jody and I passed the half-way mark for deployment last Monday, which also happened to be Mason and Smith's fifth birthday. Yikes! We had a great time bowling with the kids and then watching them inhale pizza, brownies and ice cream afterwards.
Quite honestly, I'm ready to get rolling. I'm beyond 'getting used' to being back home, and want to see my husband, my bed, my coffee pot, and the beach.
Did I just say that?
Yes.
I miss Virginia and the people there.
I do love being here. Montana is beautiful, and Billings is simple and small-ish. I love walking on the rims and looking down on the city, seeing beautiful sunsets, and enjoying the Mountains, but home truly is where the heart is, and my heart has been tied up with a guy named Jody and the home that we created nearly two years ago.
The positive thing is that time always moves forward. It never stops, and it never reverts backwards. Therefore, while Jody's away and am I am sleeping in the guest bedroom at my parents house, I will embrace the odd situation that is my life and marriage as best I can, and keep counting down the days until I get to smooch that handsome sailor again.
Better yet, I will look forward to the day that I never refer to him as 'sailor' again.
Just saying.
