It's important to set goals.
It's important to accomplish something.
To start.
And then to finish.
...but not when pertaining to a thirty pound jar of peanut butter.
| Look what I've accomplished! |
Yep, that's right, folks. I did that.
I "single handedly" (dad quote) devoured this gigantic jar of Adam's 100% natural crunchy peanut butter from Costco.
Of course he would say that. It's true. Never has dad walked into the kitchen since February to not find me standing on one foot, staring at a wall and spooning countless utensils (ever 'forked' peanut butter before? I have.) into this lovely jar of heaven/self loathing.
Yum.
On that note,
I'm not always staring at walls and consuming nuts.

- I celebrated Jody's and my second anniversary last Monday. It was a lovely day. I suffered some super-sweat-time in the hot room at Bikram Yoga, visited the library, hung out with some wacked out kiddos, and ate seaweed salad and a sweet potato sushi roll at Fancy Sushi here in Billings. Had Jody been here, my day would have been completely different. It's still so humorous to me how different he and I are. I would imagine Jody's day (had he not been trapped on the AB without me, of course!) including sleeping past noon, feasting on bacon and sausage, watching movies and then drinking beer and watching football. And then likely producing some outrageous smells. Anyway, 'they' always were right: Opposites attract. It's works. It's good. I like it. I like him. I love him. Glad for our two years of marriage, and so looking forward to many, many more!
| I'm that girl. I don't care that flowers die, I still love them. Ma Sky knows this a handed me a purty plant after our dinner together. Thanks, Mama! |
- I'm looking forward to June. I'm so, so looking forward to June. A few things happening:
- The kiddos I am currently watching will be out of school, and busy with camps, giving me time to spend even more time with my beautiful sister, who, also happens to be out of school! Hooray for summers together! Janelle and I go way back when it comes to lazy summer day fun. Lake elmo, lattes, reading, cold beverages, tanning...ah, summer is good! I will, however, still have the munchkins for a few weeks during the summer, but I foresee days at the pool, zoo, and countless other fun adventures. Money is always nice, too.
- June means I see Jody next month. 'Nuff said.
- June also means a trip up to Lolo to meet my lovely friend Ana for some camping and catching up. Ana's husband is on the boat with Jody, and she is living 'back home' in Washington with her sweet little kiddos during deployment. She's a sweetheart, and has done so much for me since I met her after Jody and I were first married. Needless to say, I can't wait to have a drink with her and spend some much needed time with my friend.
- In three weeks I will be beginning a distance learning program in Nutrition Consulting. The military is paying for my program, and I'm completely excited to begin learning more formally about something I am so passionate about, and am constantly studying on my own anyhow. I'm excited to see where this will take me. My mind is never set on any one idea when it comes to future careers, but having a little something behind my name pleases and excites me.
- It's been decided that upon moving back, I will have the pleasure of watching my dear friend's sweet new baby full time. Nate and Danielle are our 'go to couple' back in Virginia and a great help and encouragement to Jody and myself. They recently welcomed little baby Ayden into the world, (ironically, the very same day that Jody deployed and I left town for Billings) and although I've never met the little guy, I just know we're going to get along...you know why?
