- Baby updates!
I'm nearly a month late, but it's worthy of sharing that my dear friend Marissa delivered a beautiful, healthly little girl named Carlen back in March.
I can't believe my friend is a mother now, or that I'm even old enough to have a friend who's a mother, but that's beside the point. Carlen took her time getting here, but by the looks of it, she knew just what she was doing, as she is definitely one of the prettiest babies I've ever layed eyes upon. Congratulations to Marissa and Ben, I'm so looking forward to watching your family grow, and seeing Ben come home to you very very soon! You three are very loved.
That's Marissa, the cute prego to the left, myself, and my (yes, I'm going to say it...Bestie), Casey at Marissa's baby shower in February.
Plus, we can't forget about little Gunner G! I was in Bozeman last week and got to stop in and invade the Schuyler's home for a few hours with mom and Janelle. We held baby Gunner (who, I might add, has grown several chins and wears a damn cute set of dimples) and played with the three older boys. Praise God for Gunner's health, and for this awesomely-active-testosterone-filled-little-family. Oh, and praise God for Reese! :) She's pretty great.
Sweet Sawyer.
Gunner and Reese -- looking lovely as ever! Is it just me, or is he smiling at her?
G looks pretty miserable, but what a handsome crew! I can't believe how much they've grown since I moved from Billings.
- Also worthy of mentioning is the engagement of my two friends Katelyn and Eric!
I am overly excited for them as they begin to prepare for a wedding this summer, and all of the fun adventures ahead.
Congratulations, friends!
I also had the chance to hang out with my best friend from junior high and high school last week, as she was back in town from Missoula for Spring Break. Aidan's mom, Barb took us out for dinner and drinks, and we spent the full two hours reminiscing over the stupid things we did together while growing up. Barb was a trooper, and passed no judgement after finding out about our seventh grade sneak-out adventures, and it was so much fun eating fancy food and hanging out with my old friend. It's fun and strange and good to see everyone growing up, changing, finishing school, drinking at bars instead of over ping pong tables, getting married, having babies and getting jobs. Real jobs. I'm...overwhelmed, but so looking forward to the day when Jody and I head back west, permanently, and get to experience 'growing up' with old friends, too. God is good!
Not much else to report, just checking in.
Still missing Jody very much, as usual, but we're getting along fine. Prayers are always welcomed and so good to us, so please keep us in your thoughts. Prayers for patience, peace, purity and safety are always atop the list when it comes to Jody and me. Aside from that, please pray for a healthy adjustment back to life on land for Jody, come July, and life back on the East Coast in general, for myself. We'll be looking for a new place to rent, and hoping for a much cheaper option this time around, as we'll only be living there for another year, or less.
That's it, folks.

It's been a busy, babyful couple of months for you, eh? Have I told you how much I enjoy having you here? I do. So much. And I pray for you and your man often. Love you both!
Always enjoy your posts! Thanks for the kind words. So many great things happening and ahead.
