Women's (run) Walk

When I was in the eighth grade, Jenny talked me into doing the Women's Run with her.  I recall three things:
Strollers, chatty women, and overwhelming crowds of women in pink t-shirts.

No thank you.

Needless to say, I swore off any future Women's Run ideas.

...Until this year.  My mother in law, Chris, asked mom and I if I would like to join Humana in completing the five miler in the 2012 Women's Run.  I sighed, but decided that a morning of walking with my two mamma's and eight hundred billion other women wouldn't be all that bad.

And it wasn't!  I might even say I enjoyed myself,

Above is the whole Humana crew...thanks for letting us be a part this year, Chris!

After the Ru-Walk, Janelle, mom and hopped in the car and drove up to Red Lodge for the day.
Mom decided that this year she would rather spend the day 'perusing' all of the fun shops up in Red Lodge for her Mother's Day festivity.  We drank lattes, had lunch, and walked downtown Red Lodge up and down for hours.  Always a pleasure.

This picture totally happened...and I totally just said Totally.

(How about those teeth, eh?
Watch out)

That's better.  Happy Mother's Day, Ma Sky!

Today, I went to church with my In-Laws, and enjoyed a yummy lunch at Cracker Barrel afterwards.  I got to spend the rest of the afternoon lounging over at Jody's parents watching home videos of my two-year-old handsome, handsome (did I mention incredibly cute?) husband.  We sipped wine, sat in the sun, laughed over Jody's chubby two year old cheeks, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Tomorrow is Jody and my second anniversary.
I miss that husband of mine more than I can describe, but I've beaten up that subject pretty hard.
Instead of sipping sweet wine next to my man tomorrow, I'm going to enjoy an extra-long yoga class, take a visit to the library, and meet some special ladies out for sushi after picking up the kiddos from school.

It'll be fantastic!

I'll say it one more time:  A very happy Mother's Day to ALL the mothers and mothers to be out there!  Hero's, you are!  Keep doing what you're doing.  It's big, and it's good.

I had a great mother's day and I was happy to share you with your mother-in-law. She should also get the joy of hanging with you. Maybe we could do it all over again in 2 years?
