This week I am thankful for...

  •  My best friend Casey, and the beautiful bouquet of pink tulips that showed up at my door from her.  Just a pleasant little pick-me-up to get me through the week, no big deal.
  •  Duty-free weekends and days off.
  •  Board games, new friends and tasty drinks.  We've been all over the game nights lately- and we love it!  Cranium is one of our favorites, and if you haven't played yet you're missing out.
  • Extraverts.  Like the one who plopped down next to me today and struck up a conversation about Steven King while waiting for my next class to start.  I'm more of a 'see my headphones?  don't talk to me' type of person- sometimes without meaning to- and it's nice to have someone see past my accidental grumps and to try to get to know me.
  • My ipod touch- I love that thing!   It's by-far the most technically advanced item I have ever owned, and it blows my mind- it does it all...except for laundry and the dishes, but that's what husbands are for.
  • The thought of a different type of summer I'll get to experience this year.  True, no mountains and probably less than righteous backpacking and camping trips, but this year there will be beaches and other new adventures-  As usual, I'm over the cold and wind and am ready ready ready for some summertime!
  • This guy.  I know I gush a lot, but seriously.  I realize more and more every day how lucky I am to have someone like him in my life.

What/who were you blessed with today?

I am enjoying 1) more time off from work, since we aren't busy right now. 2)Reorganizing my cupboards, and rearranging furniture. 3) Texting, blogs, and facebook, so I can feel connected to my kids. 3) knowing my kids are all doing well. 4) Watching Reba, she cracks me up and makes dad laugh/snort. 5) Starbucks, maybe I will have a third one, since I haven't had a coke in 19 days. I too, am sick of winter, but will try to have a better attitude.

I love your positive attitude! I am enjoying 1)my dogs using the doggy door to use the bathroom, no more bothering humans to open a door; 2)I've tried new recipes WITH success, one with purple potatoes; 3)I finished knitting my first mitten, however unwearable but good practice; 4)The book Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver; 5)My husband sweet as sugar; 6) Being able to do laundry in my own place

wow I could list many more things :) Thanks Kayla for helping my sit down and focus!
