Lucky for me, Jody knows how to find his way around. He was the one who figured out all of the bus schedules, subway stops, street signs, and activities. I just held his hand and jogged alongside him while he pulled me all over the city.
Our first night was spent in Time Square, where we went to a comedy show. We both laughed a lot, were made fun of a little, and overall had a really great time. I'm more sensitive than Jody, so I was a little bit nervous- those guys are relentless! Luckily, neither of us is Asian or wore a cowboy hat, so we made out alright.
Friday we walked, walked, walked, and walked some more. We visited Central park, chased firefighters and a cloud of smoke in the sky until we found it's source (Jody's idea- not mine). We ate some New York pizza, checked out some funny shops, and then went to Toy Story 3D.
Saturday we hit Ellis Island, The Statue of Liberty, took a nap, and then checked out ground zero that evening. Sunday morning we made our way to Yankee Stadium for a Yankee/Orioles game! It was very hot out and we were both exhausted by then, but I think we both had fun even though we were pretty zoned out for most of the game.
It was a LONG trip home, and we didn't get back until about three in the morning just so Jody could get up and go to work at six. I think we're both recovered by now though, and I'm very happy to report that I had an excellent weekend with my hubby in the city! Mark one more off the ol' bucket list!

Oh, girl! It all looks so fabulous! I just LOVED Times Square. And now every time you see A NY icon in a movie or TV show, you can shout "Been there!" I'm glad you and Yody are out and about enjoying your marriedness. Love you!
Thank Jody for all of the texting pictures of your trip. I felt like I was there. (not really, but, it was still nice to see pictures.)
Hooray for your blog! I finally found my way here via Janelle's blog. Such a great way to keep up-to-date on what's going on with family. Thanks!
