We got a place!
We got a job!
More on both later, but to quickly update ya'll (that's right - missin' my suthurn fraynds just a byt) we found a great home we're renting from a fantastic couple that we both know. Cedar has her own bedroom and I have a kitchen! Yeah, yeah, yeah! God is good.
Cedar is rounding out her fourteenth week and is the light of my life. She squeals, wiggles, gah-gah's and giggles. She sleeps nearly 10 hours a night now, and generally naps 3-4 times during the day.
She is trying hard to roll over, but hasn't quite mastered that skill yet. Tummy time is not her thing, and she easily flips from tummy to back within seconds of laying her on her belly.
Does she not look darn cute workin' that tummy time, though?
These last few weeks have been stressful, to say the least. Worry over getting a job, money and lack of quality alone time has definitely been a bit of a 'buzz kill' to our Navy-free life. But, God provides - always. We have had so much help, I just know that we made the right decision in coming home, and I am so excited for this new adventure for our family.
I am also very much looking forward to a fancy date night with my hubby sometime soon. Oh, how I miss spontaneous date nights :)
Here is a little bit of Adorable-ness for your viewing pleasure.
Break. My. Heart.
I also had the pleasure of standing beside my sweet cousin, Kortney as she said I do to a wonderful man last weekend. We had a blast celebrating, seeing our entire family, and being spoiled by the Kemmis clan with yummy dinners, drinks and a general good time. Cedar was left in good hands for bedtime, and Jody and I danced our hearts out all night long. We made fools of ourselves, and it was great.
I hosted the Batchelorette Party, and after drinks downtown we met back at my house for some dessert and 'Classy' gift giving. Jody and Cedar avoided the giggly crowd by enjoying a fire in the back.
Cussins.
Kort was the perfect bride. She pulled together a gorgeous wedding, was a stunning bride, and stayed calm, cool and collected the entire time. Not once did I feel the need to roll my eyes or make myself throw up from a case of the Bridezilla's. She was also incredibly helpful to me as she didn't mind little Cedar hanging around to nurse as necessary.
I also received the CD from Cedar's newborn photo shoot to share on my blog, since we never got around to sending birth announcements. Oops. That may be a post in itself, though, as the pictures are so. damn. cute. but I wonder if people are getting sick of pictures of my little baby? (I refuse to believe that's possible, but I'll entertain the idea - slightly)
Over and out.
