Home Again

We made it!

So much to catch up on, too!

Little Cedar May is now 7.5 weeks and growing like a weed.  At just 3.5 weeks, she flew from Virginia to Montana like a champ, although I still could not have done it without the help of my mother in law, Chris. We had three flight connections to make it home, and all three of us survived with only minimal bitchiness, two blow outs and three changes of outfits.  Not bad!

Cedar's Hydronephrosis (fluid of the kidney) was tested for reflux via a very icky procedure just a few days after arriving in Billings. The test was not fun, but more so for mom and dad than the baby.  The results of the test proved no reflux and better yet - her hydronephrosis had healed itself and was no longer an issue!  Go baby, and praise God!

Enough chatter - here are some photos :)

Pretty in pink.  This girl is just beautiful!
Punk Rocker.  She has the goofiest hair.  Very long in the back, hanging down to her neck, and lots of long hairs up in the front but zip down the sides.  Babies are awkward.

Just chillin'.  We have found her with her little hands folded over her chest like this multiple times.  It's pretty darn cute, and I like to think she's praying that she'll survive having us as parents.
To answer the question - 'Who does she look like?' - It's me!  That's baby Kayla with big brother Matt some 22 years ago.  Win!

I have also been spending quite a bit of time with this little Nugget.  Just look at those eyes!  I can't believe how big he has grown, scooting his chubby little body all over the place, making giggle noises and even teething!  Where has the time gone?!  It is so good to be around Janelle as we learn this 'parenting gig' together.  I'm so glad she's a step ahead of me on everything!

Someday, after I regain my sanity and don't feel like I need a nap (although, I hear both of those things may never happen again...) I will recap you all on our lives.  But for now, we are happy, healthy, growing and feeling so blessed to be back home.  Really, truly - Montana is where we belong and it's such a joy that we will be raising our kiddo here.
