Achievements!

Course completed and passed!

My sweet honey even got me flowers to celebrate my completion of yet another certification.  If you look really closely, there's a cute little Congrats balloon, amidst the flowers.  Have I ever mentioned how much I love getting flowers?

I'm thinking that I have.  Multiple times.

Speaking of being awesome, Jody and I also found this yesterday, while searching our Crap Closet for tax information:
Jody may or may not be irritated with me for showing this, but it's something he ought to be proud of.  He was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal just a month or so into deployment last year (almost a year ago, in fact!) and this is the first time I was actually able to see the award with my own eyes.
I told you my husband is a fantastic guy.

You can read more about this award here.

Anyway, let's talk pregnancy,
that seems to be the recurring theme here.

Building a human is hard.  For me, anyway.
Jody and I were just talking about how very textbook this pregnancy has gone so far, which I know is great news.  Everything that has happened to me physically and emotionally happened about a week or two before all of the books said they would.  Morning sickness started early at around six weeks, was mostly cleared by 16, then I felt exactly like a human again for a good two months or so.  And now...I'm in my third trimester, and, like the books say, I've started peeing like a maniac - again.  Baby wakes me up frequently during the night, and I'm just drained.  How professional women and mothers of toddlers and kids find the energy to be pregnant AND work/take care of an entire family is completely beyond me.  I need naps, man.  I need naps, I need chocolate, I need snacks (frequently) and I need attention.

Lucky Jody :)

We feel as if life is a bit awkward right now.  We're learning how to work around little obstacles caused by the pregnancy in lots of different areas.  Some are awkward and uncomfortable, others just mean rearranging the way we used to do things.  While I love quiet evenings with pizza and sweat pants, they're getting old.  We're trying to save money, so going out isn't often an option and frankly, I just don't feel the drive to put on pants and be social about half of the time.

On the other hand, we're trying to savor these lazy times, as we know they won't be here for much longer.  Spring will come, and then we'll have a baby.  Amidst that craziness, we'll begin packing up our home, we'll move across the country, and then we will have to find a new home, a school for Jody and a way to make ends meet.  Most importantly, though, our little Cedar will be here, and I am completely impatient for that day to get here.

Anyway, here are some photo updates.  We grew a bit bored with 'belly shots' for a while, as I was not seeming to grow anywhere other than my bottom, but we're trying to keep up with it.
 19 weeks.
 25 weeks
 26 weeks
And this was last Saturday, at 27 weeks.  We walked around a home and garden show that day, and I got several stomach-stares, which pleased me.  What did not please me was the one man who ventured to ask how far along I was...'You've got to be, what?  Three months?  Congratulations!'

Try six-and-a-half, dude, and next time, don't ask questions.  Take lesson from Jody; just smile and nod, man.  Smile and nod.

Your belly definitely completely changes with what you're wearing I've noticed! 25 weeks is my fave :) You're doing awesome, eating awesome, working out, and being healthy! GO GIRL! I was completely unable to do that when I was pregnant. Can we say Couch-Potato?! :P Hehe. Her arrival isn't too far off now!!!
