A very Merry Christmas to you!

A bit lonely around these parts, and unusually warm, but we're enjoying our holiday together.  Last night we attended church with friends, ate a coffee table full of snacks for our holiday 'meal' and watched the Grinch while we played gin rummy.
 Sore winner.
Sore loser.

This year, we opened our presents on Christmas Eve.  It wasn't the plan, but we were both restless, and I know I felt funny about not being back home.  A bit emotional, too.  But anyway, we opened presents together, and finished the night off with the A Christmas Carol with Jim Carey (a bit scary and weird for my taste) and went to bed.
Christma-birthday gift from mom and dad.  I think my face displays the pure ecstasy I felt when I saw that beautiful word 'kitchenAid'.  Mm.
 Oh yes, they did.
Jody in his carhartts, displaying the his new socks.  I got him the wrong kind.  Oops.
I just can't win.

Today, we drank mimosas and coffee with breakfast and have been reading fools all afternoon.  Dinner at a friends house, and then back to the grind tomorrow.  I have one more week of work before we start getting things together for the big move.

Anyway, we love and miss you all!  The merriest of Christmas's!
